R Bar was around the corner from my first SF apartment. It’s an odd place the defies easy description, but it’s famous for serving more Fernet-Branca than any other bar in the US. This, in my opinion, makes this place solidly San Francisco.
Also, while taking this photo I was awkwardly shooting between a small Asian woman double fisting beer and whiskey and a couple who I’m pretty sure were having the "We should break up" talk… Just a standard Sunday night.
