Hogmanay is perhaps a bigger celebration than Christmas here. All the seasonal decorations are still up. Festivities start on New Year’s Eve (Hogmanay) and continue for several days … probably until the energy or whisky has run out! There is the first-footing ritual for every home, and sometimes rolling parties that move from house to house. Normality will probably return next Monday, well into the New Year ;o)
