A great friend gave me a very nice bottle of rye for Christmas, and what better way to try out the new ‘macro’ box I built (via instructions at the Strobist site) than to take a picture of such a generous gift.
I’d actually like the background to get a bit brighter, so I’m noodling over how to do that without blowing the highlights on the bottle/glass. Any tips? Since I’m only using one flash, I could potentially add another at a lower power from either the top or right side. I’ll try that next, I think, just to see what I can get from it.
